Eligibility Requirements:

Any Portage Northern student looking to improve the lives of others in our community and world

Time Commitment:

There is no required participation in Interact meetings and events, and all PN students are welcome at any meeting or event throughout the year. There are multiple ways to help and serve others each month, through meetings, fundraisers and volunteer service projects.

Interact meets about one Tuesday a month, after school in Mr. Hill’s room (3.136), to plan upcoming events and gain awareness about poverty and education. We have multiple service events each month that benefit our local and global community by helping those in need.

Procedure for Joining:

Anyone may come to a meeting or participate in any fundraiser or service project throughout the year. E-mail and our Google Classroom (code: n7psmgr) are the best ways to hear about upcoming meetings and important information. Sign up at the club fair or e-mail Mr. Hill to get on the e-mail list, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

Interact is a student-led group that creates service opportunities for PN students to help people in need, both locally and globally. Founded as “Be There,” in 2002 by a former PN student, Interact sponsors fun and difference-making events like Lunches for Lives (supporting local families) and $2-gether for Tuleeni, which provides education to orphans in Tanzania! Interact teams with the local Portage Rotary group for valuable service projects to help people and organizations in our own community. Volunteer hours count for freshmen class requirements, NHS and CAS. Bring your friends to help Portage Northern to improve the lives of others in our community and our world!
